Community Engaged Projects

 

Consultation, collaboration and research are key to these projects.

While in some cases non artist community members participate in the production of these works the overall artistic judgments are made by the artists.

 

More often the approach I take to this kind of practice is one of intense research and consultation to develop the conceptual and technical material for the artwork and then the work itself is made by myself and other collaborating artists.

 

This approach to my practice developed over a 20 year period of working in a community based context.
